INSURANCE: $3.2 Million to be Given to CA Counties to Investigate Insurance Fraud

California- About $3.2 million in graft funding will be provided to different counties in the state in order to support them in their fight against insurance fraud, said the Department of Insurance.
According to reports, district attorney’s offices in the state will receive financial support in order to prosecute and investigate disability, health, annuities, and life insurance fraud.
Most of the money will be given to largest counties including San Diego, Santa Clara, Orange, Los Angeles, and Alameda, said reports.
A 10-cent fee that was assessed for every insured individual under a group or individual insurance policy was used to fund the grant, said reports.
