Budget Cuts Results in Early Closure of Social Security Offices in Sacramento

Sacramento- Budget cuts has forced the city to close Social Security offices around 30 minutes earlier that the usual starting on August 15, said reports.
The Social Security Administration (SSA) stated that employees will still work and serve the people, without having to work overtime.
This move was done after the agency received a budget which is almost $1 billion shorter compared to the amount that was requested by President Obama to the Congress.
Different services provided by the agency such as notification of a change of telephone number or address and applying for disability or retirement benefits may be handled through the internet or telephone.
