HEALTH CARE BENEFITS: CA to Get $761M after Schwarzenegger Signs Health Care Bills
June 28, 2010
Sacramento - California is expected to receive around $761 million in federal subsidies after Gov. Arnold signs two bills, which will enable the state to help thousands of uninsured Californians to get their health insurance.
According to reports, the two bills were narrowly passed by the California Legislature. They will become a law once Schwarzenegger signs them.
The bills will make a high-risk pool for individuals who were denied of health insurance due to pre-existing medical conditions. In addition, they will start different federal health care reform changes.
Reports said the practice will be outlawed in 2014.
