Patty Duke Applies for Online Social Security Benefits while in Pajamas

Patty Duke had taken her own advice, when she applied for her Medicare and retirement benefits at home in pajamas after turning 65 years old, reports said.

Duke has been known for years for advocating the Social Security Online in interviews and Public Service Announcements (PSA). According to her, she never expected that the event would be a momentous occasion.

The Social Security Administration (SSA) has released a video showing Duke and her husband, Mike Pearce, applying for the benefits while on pajamas.

SSA Commissioner Michael J. Astrue has also wished Duke a happy birthday while stating her achievements as a Hollywood legend as well as her dedication to reach baby boomers about SSA’s application process.
