SOCIAL SECURITY LAW: Republican Congressman Flake Supports Retirement Age Raise
April 28, 2011
Arizona– Southeast Valley Representative Jeff Flake has expressed support in raising the retirement age to fix the budget deficit that Social Security is facing.
In an interview with two Republican Congressmen Jeff Flake and David Schweikert, Flake disclosed some his views on how to resolve debt problems including his opinion about restructuring Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid. “You'd have to continue raising the retirement age . . . until we get up to 70 sometime in the next century,” Flake said.
Meanwhile, Schweikert also revealed that around 10,000 Americans will be turning 65 daily for the next 18 years.
