SOCIAL SECURITY LAW: SSA Urges Public for Feedback to Improve Services
January 25, 2011
Baltimore, Maryland – The Social Security Administration (SSA) is asking the public to provide them with direct feedback and information on its rules and regulations to further improve its services, as announced in a press statement in its website recently.
In the announcement, SSA Commissioner Michael Astrue said this campaign will provide a new way for people to participate in open and transparent government in response to President Obama’s call to improve regulations and regulatory review in government offices.
The commissioner also expressed optimism with the idea and said he is excited to hear the ideas of the public.
The public can look at the complete set of Social Security program rules online at www.socialsecurity.gov/regulations and make suggestions or comments via email to RegsReview@ssa.gov. In addition to this, the public can also access www.socialsecurity.gov/open/regsreview/.
