SOCIAL SECURITY NEWS: Social Security Account Hackers Charged with ID Theft Fraud

Los Angeles - A grand jury in Los Angeles has imposed on Tuesday a 29-count bank fraud charge to at least six people who have stolen Social Security account information.
According to reports, the federal jury has indicted an Arkansan woman and five other people from Carson, Los Angeles, and Beverly Hills with identity theft fraud.
Prosecutors commented that the six people tracked Social Security accounts with good credits and used the information to obtain money. The six hackers were able to set up hoax businesses and obtain loans from Bank of America. The amount stolen was estimated to be more than $3 million.
The Los Angeles district court had the six people arrested. The alleged hackers may face hundreds of years of federal imprisonment.
