According to the published press release from the SSA website, my Social Security is an online-personalized account that may be used during the start of the employee’s working years up until the time he or she begins receiving Social Security benefits. read more

Washington – The intensified talks to prevent the looming fiscal cliff has raised concerns towards the entitlement drain brought by the enormous number of retiring baby boomers, reports said.
This reaction is based on the Congressional Budget Office’s (CBO) warning last June. CBO stated that aging boomers would consume a "significant and sustained" benefits share from the Medicare, Social Security, and other long-term care services that are funded by Medicaid, the government’s health care program for poor U.S. citizens. read more

SSA Employee Reprimanded for Excessive Flatulence

Baltimore, Md. – A Social Security Administration (SSA) employee was formally reprimanded for passing gas too frequently in his Baltimore office, a news article from the website Smoking Gun said.
The 38-year-old Baltimore man was given a five-page reprimand letter, which included a log of representative dates and times when he was recorded “releasing the awful and unpleasant odor” in his office. read more
SSA Stops Weekly Visits to Red Bluff Contact Station

Weatherford, Tex. – A 73-year-old man was deprived of his monthly social security payments after the Social Security Administration (SSA) erroneously listed him as deceased, creating another case of unwanted error in the agency’s Death Master List.

Berkeley – No less than 931 Berkeley patients who rode city ambulances were apparently robbed of their Social Security numbers, names, and birth dates, reports said.

Suspect Arrested for Tax Returns, Claim Refunds Scam
Oakland – A female Hayward resident was arrested early Tuesday for her involvement in a scam that defrauded the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) through falsified tax returns and claim refunds, reports said.
The United States attorney’s office identified the suspect as Latasha Ringo. She reportedly recruited taxpayers into the scheme with the help of several conspirators. They made W-2 forms, which claimed fake employment and tax withholdings. read more...
