Washington – The intensified talks to prevent the looming fiscal cliff has raised concerns towards the entitlement drain brought by the enormous number of retiring baby boomers, reports said.

This reaction is based on the Congressional Budget Office’s (CBO) warning last June. SSA Employee Reprimanded for Excessive Flatulence

Baltimore, Md. – A Social Security Administration (SSA) employee was formally reprimanded for passing gas too frequently in his Baltimore office, a news article from the website Smoking Gun said.

The 38-year-old Baltimore man was given a five-page reprimand letter, which included a log of representative dates and times when he was recorded “releasing the awful and unpleasant odor” in his office. read more

Suspect Arrested for Tax Returns, Claim Refunds Scam

Oakland – A female Hayward resident was arrested early Tuesday for her involvement in a scam that defrauded the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) through falsified tax returns and claim refunds, reports said.

The United States attorney’s office identified the suspect as Latasha Ringo. She reportedly recruited taxpayers into the scheme with the help of several conspirators. They made W-2 forms, which claimed fake employment and tax withholdings. read more...
