SSA Stops Weekly Visits to Red Bluff Contact Station
December 21, 2012
In its efforts to cut down on costs, the Social Security Administration (SSA) has discontinued weekly visits to the Red Bluff contact station since yesterday, December 20, 2012.
Instead, the SSA will continue to offer full service Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at its Redding office located at 2660 Park Marina Drive, Ste. A, Redding.
The SSA likewise reminds the public that most services of the agency, which includes applying for retirement, disability or Medicare benefits, signing up for direct deposit, replacing a Medicare card, obtaining a proof of income letter or a change of address or telephone number, are conveniently available at the SSA’s website or via phone.
Just log on to the agency’s website www.socialsecurity.gov or dial their toll-free number 1-800-772-1213.
For people who are deaf or have difficulty with hearing, they may call the SSA’s TTY number at 1-800-325-0778.
Meanwhile, for those who prefer to have the SSA’s content in Spanish, they may visit the agency’s Spanish website at www.segurosocial.gov.
